Minya University President Honors Students with Disabilities at the Closing Ceremony of the “Tamkeen” Initiative.

In line with its commitment to supporting and empowering students with disabilities and promoting equal opportunities and inclusive education, Prof.Dr. Essam Farhat, President of Minia University, honored outstanding students participating in the presidential “Tamkeen” initiative. The students, who won medals at Egypt’s largest university sports forum for students with disabilities in Alexandria, were recognized alongside the staff who implemented the program.

The closing ceremony of the initiative was organized by the University’s Disability Services Center, attended by the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, deans of faculties, and members of the center’s board.

Dr. Farhat emphasized that the celebration marks the beginning of a new phase in institutional efforts to enhance support and empowerment systems, highlighting that the center is among the first of its kind in Egyptian universities and plays a key role in academically and socially integrating students, while providing a safe and supportive environment, including health, psychological, and academic assistance.
