MU Wins the 3rd Place in Egypt Government Excellence Award

Minia University won the third rank of Egypt Government Excellence Award for the best distinguished website in providing electronic governmental services at the level of governmental institutions, in the context of attaining the sustainable development plan, Egypt's vision 2030.

It came during the ceremony, which was held in Qubba Palace, under the auspices of President of Republic of Egypt, and in attendance of Prime Minister Eng. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Prof. Hala El-Said, in addition to a number of Ministers and guests of honor from the UAE.

Prof. Dr. Abd El-Naby asserted that the university witnessed an electronic transformation in its services by constructing an institutional model that applies the concepts of governance and digital transformation, as well, have a competent administrative system contributing significantly to promote the competitive leadership of its e-portal to be the best in developing databases, servers, network, data security devices, in addition to mechanism student services and controls by an electronic platforms on portal, as well activating the electronic payment system.

He hailed efforts exerted by the teamwork in information technology center during the evaluation phase and field visits paid by the committee that responsible for Egypt Government Excellence Award, expressing his gratitude to Executive Director of Information Technology Center ITC Prof. Dr. Walid Makram Mohamed, e-Portal Director Prof. Dr. Yasser Maher Wazery, e-Portal teamwork, in cooperation with Information Network Unit and Management Information Systems Unit, and Coordinator of government excellence award Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaaban.
