MU Hospitals Obtains a License for Human Organ Transplants
Prof. Dr. Essam Farahat, Minia University President, announced that the university's hospitals have received a license for organ transplantation, marking a historic advancement in medical services for Minia Governorate and Upper Egypt. This development will reduce patients' need to travel to Cairo for advanced surgeries.
The Supreme Committee for Human Organ Transplantation at the Ministry of Health granted the license after the hospitals met all necessary technical, medical, and structural requirements and successfully underwent review. This achievement reflects the significant improvements in the medical system at Minia University Hospitals recently.
Dr. Essam Farahat noted that this initiative aligns with the university's strategy to enhance health services and expand specialized medical fields, following the Egyptian state's directives to improve healthcare for citizens in Upper Egypt. He emphasized that the university hospitals are now equipped with advanced medical infrastructure and qualified personnel capable of performing major surgeries to the highest quality and safety standards
