Decisions of Minia University Council in July 2022

Minia University Council held its monthly meeting headed by Minia University President Prof. Dr. Mostafa Abd EL-Naby Abd EL-Rahman and in the presence of Vice President for Education & Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Essam Farahat, Deans of faculties, Director of Quality Assurance Center, Director of Information Technology Center (ITC), Advisor to the President, Secretary-General, and other members of the board.

At the outset of the meeting, the university council honored Prof. Dr. Abo Hashima Mostafa EL-Sayed, General Coordinator of Minia National University, in recognition of his efforts and achievements in Minia National University.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Abd EL-Naby expressed his gratitude to the deans of faculties for their efforts in finishing the monitoring and corrections works as well as the rapid announcement of results for all academic years. He assured the university's readiness for the new academic year by accomplishing all maintenance works in facilities, then he reviewed a timeline for the 2022/2023 academic year set by the Supreme Council of Universities.

Moreover, Prof. Dr. Abd EL-Naby added that academic curriculums and courses will be uploaded on Thinqi e-learning platform for Egyptian universities by the next August, as a step that will be a quantum leap for the digital transformation in Minia University's learning system, pointing out that the university has already trained a number of academic members and e-learning teams on the new platform.

On the other hand, he announced that applying for postgraduate studies for the academic year 2022/2023 will start on 14/8/2022 for a month to 13/9/2022 unless the bylaws of faculties specify another date of application.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Abd EL-Naby invited the council members to pay a visit to the Ophthalmology Unit and Children Unit in Minia University Hospital to follow up on the latest developments and works in preparation for its inauguration.
