Launching a Medical Convoy at “Nazlet Abeed” Village

Within the framework of university keen to provide the necessary medical services for the governorate’s villages, Minia University sent a medical convoy to “Nazlet Abeed” village, Minia Governorate, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth & Sports, under the patronage of Minia University President Prof. Dr. Mostafa Abd El-Naby.

The medical convoy included a dedicated team of physicians in cooperation with Pharmacists, nursing, educational, and awareness teams, in addition to the administrative supervision from the office of vice president for community services, and the general management of the environmental projects.

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Essam Farahat, Vice-President for Education & Student Affairs, stated that the convoy examined 458 cases and delivered free treatments for them. He added that the convoy held a symposium on the effects of drug abuse, and other two symposiums on the early detection of breast cancer, lectured by academic staff from Faculty of Nursing.
